Simplifying Life & Home means figuring out ways to make daily cleaning tasks easier. The less time we have to spend on these unpleasant tasks, the more time we can spend doing the things we actually enjoy doing.
Do you struggle with keeping the shower tile clean? I admit that I used to. Here are two very embarrassing photos of what the tiles on my shower floor used to look like.
And here’s how they look now…
I tried all types of cleaners to keep up with the brown stains that would show up these tiles. I’d scrub on my hands and knees with a very course brush and some very harsh cleaners. I also tried greener methods like baking soda and vinegar. Nothing seemed to work.
For the longest time I thought these brown stains were deep set into the tiles because they wouldn’t come off when I scrubbed with a very course bristle brush. Then one day I leaned down and scraped the tile with my fingernail to find that it scraped right off. It was only soap scum! So why on earth weren’t these harsh chemicals and hard brushes removing it when all it took was a scrape of my nail and it came off?
That was when I grabbed the one product that took off the soap scum like magic.
The Magic Eraser sponges…
These sponges are amazing! I’ve used them to clean stains on woodwork, walls, countertops, and wood floors. From here on out, I’ll be keeping a stash of them in my bathroom.
