It’s inevitable. We are parents and at some point we embarrass our kids. It happens. They should just learn to accept it. We just can’t help ourselves. When we were little, we got excited over lollipops, water parks, and trips to McDonalds. Now all it takes is an old piece of scratched furniture to set off our endorphins!
My daughter and I were headed to the mall to do some back-to-school shopping. Traffic was backed up on the highway so we took the backroads.
On the way we passed a piece of furniture on the side of the road, but there was no way she was letting me stop to look at it. So I made her a deal. If it was still there on our way back home, I was stopping!
Figuring it would definitely be gone, she agreed.
Ha! It wasn’t gone.
And it was gorgeous!
Embarrassed beyond belief, she refused to get out of the car.
I passed embarrased years ago.
I no longer rush to load a piece into my truck. I take my time and make sure all of the drawers work, it’s fairly clean, and it doesn’t smell.
She was horrified!
I was ecstatic!
Check it now that it’s sanded down… amazing!
This solid wood wavey sideboard is now available to be customized. Contact me soon if you’d like to choose the color. Otherwise, I’ll be painting it this weekend.
