Let’s continue the home tours from the Newburyport PTO Kitchen Tour with this renovated California-modern home. The open living-dining-kitchen plan overlooks features black and walnut cabinetry, a show-stopping butlers pantry, a mudroom with gray stone herringbone tile, and a half bath with captivating wall treatment. Before we step inside, let’s take a moment to appreciate the stunning architecture finished in dark gray and wood accents…
.
As we stepped off the sidewalk and walked up the driveway we paused… for a quite some time.
How could you not?
The exterior of this home is stunning. The double arched wood front doors and wood garage doors. The metal awnings. The black windows against the dark gray paint.
I believe my exact words when they opened the door was… “What an absolutely stunning exterior. You could end the tour right here in the driveway…. so beautiful.”
But they didn’t.
We were directed inside and again immediately paused at the interior view.
The living room, dining room, and kitchen spanned from left to right across the house. Three sliding glass doors, one for each section of the room, flooded the room with natural light. The backdrop was the expansive backyard placed on display as if it through framed artwork.
The wall color is Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.
Black cabinetry with contrasting brass hardware. The island cabinets are walnut.
Carrera marble countertops and backsplash.

The open modern staircase was one of my favorites on the tour, including tweed rug runner.
As if that wasn’t enough, the “WOW” factor continued when we turned the corner and looked into the butlers pantry.
Two full-size wine refrigerators – one for white and one for red. Black & walnut cabinetry. Two under-counter freezer drawers. And statement wallpaper by Mitchell Black.
The next turn leads you through the mudroom with gray slate tiles set in a herringbone pattern.
The final interior showstopper was the wallpaper in the half bath just off the mudroom.

Have you seen enough?
I thought so too. But there was more.
Then we stepped outside to the covered patio where there was so much more to see.

Note the stonework. Notice how the gray home color bleeds to the covered patio ceiling. The ceiling fans to keep the air moving by the exterior fireplace as you watch the game.
Notice the pool just large enough to cool you off. I’m seeing more and more of these rather than the oversized pools that are more labor-intensive to upkeep.
Oh… and of course they had a musician playing in the backyard during the home tour. What a nice touch.
