When I was choosing a name for this site, I landed on the name Entri Ways with the idea being that I could always expand on it. I imagined posts on “ways to paint furniture”, “ways to decorate a home”, “ways to eat gluten-free”, “ways to fundraise for your kids’ elementary school”, and so many more favorite finds & ways…”
Well… two of my favorite bloggers share a weekly post on their favorite things. These are posts that list a few favorite finds in quick-read format. They may consist of favorite items, discoveries, helpful tips, projects, and random thoughts.
There are so many little things that I come across in a week that I think… “Oh! My readers would love to see this,” but it’s really only a one or two-line explanation and not a full blog post. Let’s face it, we all love quick actionable steps that make our lives a little sweeter, don’t we?
So I thought I would also start a “favorites finds & ways” weekly post. One that you can read to get your day started on a positive, inspirational note.
Now, let’s get into a few of my favorites this week…
.
Hydrangeas

I’m just loving all the bright blue hydrangeas that are in bloom all over eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod right now. The blue color is so intense. I think they may be my favorite flower.

Book: The Five Star Weekend
KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms recommended this book and I’m so glad she did. The Five Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand is such a good read. Over 38,000 positive reviews on Amazon, this book is about a woman in her 50’s who is a food blogger. Her husband dies and to help her cope, she plans a weekend get together at her home on Nantucket with four of her closest friends – one from each era in her life.
It really gets you thinking about which “four friends” you would invite yourself (then it makes you really miss them). I’m 3/4 of the the way through this book and loving it!
.
Netflix Movie: Love at First Sight
I’ve watched this movie 3 times this Spring. Such a sweet, feel-good story of two strangers who meet on a plane on their way to England and fall in love. A great escape that makes you want to take a few risks be more adventurous. Watch it on Netflix.
I also loved watching Bridgerton on Netflix The costumes and colors in this one alone are amazing to watch.
.
Amazon Prime Series: Britain’s Best Walks
I just started watching a documentary series called Britain’s Great Outdoors, featuring Britain’s Best Walks. They’re all walking tours around the countrysides. Episode 1 was a walk around the Jurassic Coast and to Old Harry Rocks. Episode 2 was a walk to Pen-y ghent and Hull Hole. I’ve never heard of any of these places, but the the scenery is spectacular and making me want to book a trip to England. Watch it on Amazon Prime.
.
Gadget: Wall Protector

We recently painted our downstairs bathroom / laundry room white. I needed something that would protect the wall from the dryer door as it swung open and hit the wall. This 4-inch square plastic wall protector was perfect. It matched our white wall so it blended right in. It’s self-adhesive so you can apply it in about one second, it protects the wall, and is super inexpensive. The perfect solution. See it on Amazon HERE.
.
Projects: Painted the Half Bath / Laundry Room White

I’ll have more to share on this project tomorrow, but we finally got around to painting our downstairs half bath/laundry room. The project really came about out of necessity. Our washing machine broke. One thing led to another, but I’m so glad it forced us to get the project done. Funny how that works – more on that tomorrow.
.
Clean Home: Attitude Dishwashing Soap
I’m really liking the Attitude Dishwashing Liquid Soap. I’ve been working to change over all of the soaps, cleaners, and detergents in our home to healthier, less toxic brands. You need very little of it to clean dishes and, unlike that blue detergent we were using, it rinses clean almost immediately
I’ve added tons more favorites to my Amazon storefront HERE.
Hope you enjoy some of these favorites as much as I do.
