Happy Mother’s Day! This has been such an enjoyable weekend. I spent the day yesterday in the northshore coastal town of Newburyport, Massachusetts at the Newburyport PTO Kitchen Tour. It was my third year attending this incredible fundraising event and every year offers something new. This year we toured eight stunning homes. The first was this home with a backyard surprise…
This years set of homes showed off beautifully blue and green painted kitchen cabinetry, light colored quartz and quartzite countertops in white tones (including the every-popular Taj Mahal), white shiplap walls (yes, they are still gorgeous), oversized statement light fixtures, subway tile backsplashes, white exteriors with black accents, and plaid walls!
There was so much to see. Every home impeccably designed and bursting with fresh ideas!
.
The first home we visited showcased exposed brick veneer and blue-gray cabinets with black accents. The cabinet color – because I know many of you will ask – is Plummet No. 272 by Farrow & Ball.
Be sure to notice the slightly hidden coffee knook just behind the brick.
As you will see in this and the follow-up posts, all of the kitchens displayed beautiful pottery on open shelving. We particularly loved this etched pot that held useful utensils like a piece of art on the Taj Mahal quartzite countertop with a leathered finish.
In contrast the patchwork tile along the sink wall leans just a bit nautical above the 33-inch Fireclay Farmhouse sink.
Further along this wall is a french door cabinet-paneled refrigerator making for a seemless transition into the open living/dining area of the room.
Then, we made our way from the front door, through the kitchen/dining /living room area and out onto the back deck through the black-trimmed 4-foot glass paneled doors.
We proceeded down the three steps onto the expansive grass. And as we turned around, the view of the home and the back deck took us by surprise. Truly beautiful.
There are several more homes on the tour so be sure to scroll down and sign up to receive Entri Ways’ emails in your inbox.
