Happy Mother’s Day everyone! It’s time for another Favorite Finds on Amazon roundup for May 2022. Recently I’ve been shopping for clothes, shoes, and bags for a business trip. This was the first time I had to create a capsule wardrobe where the items mix and match and can be worn different ways. It’s actually taken a lot of focus. See how I create my travel capsule wardrobe and maybe treat yourself to something nice for Mother’s Day…
Note: Half of the items I purchased on Amazon and the other half at local retailers. For the items purchased locally, I found a comparable item on Amazon for you to make your shopping easy.
Links for each item are just below each photo.

Outfit #1: Travel Casual
I may have the perfect outfit for traveling. The bootcut yoga pants are incredibly comfortable and with a bootcut you can wear either a sneaker or a shoe. These Heathyoga yoga pants have over 16,500 four and five-star reviews. The hoodie sweater is so cozy and like wrapping yourself in a blanket and it has over 6,700 four and five-star reviews on Amazon. Layer the sweater over a basic white t-shirt. And you’ll be able to walk all day in these Dansko clogs – perfect for wide feet and great arch support. I always tell people these shoes have spoiled my feet and I rarely wear any other brand of shoes.

Outfit #2: Business Casual
I wear white linen pants with blouses, long sleeve cotton shirts, and casual t-shirts. I chose these as my second pair of pants to bring because, unlike jeans that are always casual attire, linen pants can go from a business conference to the beach. I’m loving the color of this purple top – although I will warn you… it looks cotton in the photo but is more like a rayon and it runs very small. I usually wear XL, but 3XL fits because you pull it on over your head and there’s no stretch. I’ll wear this necklace with every outfit on my trip and the sandals can be worn with these pants or a dress. These are Aerosole sandals. I have a hard time wearing any heels, but I’m confident these will be comfortable because I’ve already been to a large shoe store and tried on nearly every brand. Aerosoles had the most padding under the balls of the feet.

Outfit #3: Athletic
This outfit has comfort and movement written all over it. It’s what I’ll be walking in if we go for a hike or changing in to at the end of a long day of conferences.

Outfit #4: Semi-Formal
There will be one semi-formal daytime event during the trip. The outfit I choose has to be packable. The dresses I have resemble these two comparable ones on Amazon, although these may be more cotton than mine. Mine are from J.Jill and the fabric packs really well. The only trouble I’ll have is choosing one of these two to bring.

Accessories
Finally, something to put it all in. Be sure the carry-on suitcase you choose fits the particular size requirements of the airline you’re flying on. We have a suitcase similar to this SwissGear. I’m also packing a light-weight shell rain jacket. Here’s a tip… The black shell jackets look almost identical in men’s and women’s versions but the men’s shoulders are wider. So I may borrow my son’s rain jacket so I can layer t-shirts and sweatshirts under it if needed.
I picked up a Baggolini large tote locally to also carry on the airplane as my purse. Since I haven’t travelled in many years, I actually interrupted a group of women in the store who were talking about traveling. What they told me was the large tote was fine to bring as a purse in addition to the carry-on suitcase.

I am loving all these pieces! Bootcut yoga pants are my favorites.
Oh! the bootcut yoga pants were the first thing I bought because mine were so worn out. So comfortable and they can coordinate with so many different things.
