Wait until you see what I found on sale this weekend! And not just on sale, it was a super sale. A super duper sale where almost every item was 70 and 80% off! AND I had an extra 20% off coupon on top of that. Most of the items were just $1-3. Lucky day!
Yesterday was one of those unexpected shopping days where I ended coming home with a huge haul. A trip to Bed Bath & Beyond for a soap dish turned into 45 items in my shopping cart.

It’s been years, and I mean about 18 years, since I’ve gone shopping after Christmas and picked up leftover holiday items on the sale shelves.
The first 2 years in our house I shopped the after-Christmas sales to get some garland and a few decorations, but I really haven’t done that since.
Until today – but it was totally by accident, so does that really count?
But I’ve been wanting to change up a few of the decorations and when I saw those 70 and 80% off sale signs, I couldn’t resist.
If you live near a Bed Bath & Beyond, you may want to go check out their Christmas and makeup isles. Otherwise, I’ve provided the Amazon (affiliate) links for you below (just click on the photos).
Pro Tip: If you run any of my school fundraiser programs, the week after any holiday is the perfect time to shop for prizes and gift baskets.
Now let’s check out my finds!…

These flocked pine trees are adorable. I can’t wait to place them in surprise places around the house. I grabbed 7 of them for only $1.20 each (originally $5.00 ea).

These spatulas where actually the first thing that grabbed my attention. I was just going to to get one for our house, but then I saw the gold cookie cutters and thought a few cookie cutters paired with a spatula and some homemade cookies would make sweet gifts next year.
- 8 spatulas: $1.44 each (originally $6.00 ea)
- 8 gold snowflake cookie cutters: $0.96 each (originally $4.00 ea)
- 8 gold gingerbread cookie cutters: $0.96 each (originally $4.00 ea)

And then I found this stainless steel baking tray for only $2.40 (originally $15 or 20)
This tray is the smaller 17-inch size which may not fit many cookies, but it’s perfect or baking a few pieces of chicken or sweet potato fries.

Then I remembered we needed a new cutting board. This one was only 20% off, but I splurged because I loved the fact that it’s made from wood fiber and is dishwasher safe.
Cutting board: $16.00 (originally $20)

Henckel knives are my absolute favorite. After 10 years, our Henckel steak knives are still as sharp as the day I bought them. So when I saw this Henckel 6-inch utility knife for only $7.99, I grabbed it.
When you measure a knife, the size refers to the blade length. So this knife has a 6-inch blaze with a 4-inch handle, which is just slightly larger than a standard steak knife.
The 6-inch size is such a comfortable size to work with and the handle is so comfortable in my hand. It sliced so smoothly through the peppers and onions I chopped for tonight’s chili.
I found THIS Henckel 6-inch chopping knife on Amazon for you for only $13.05. Also a great price!

Next item…
I was actually online around Thanksgiving looking for a new tree-topper. I think it was a Hallmark movie I was watching at the time that inspired it. In the movie, they had this beautiful star tree topper that reflected all the colorful lights.
Then I saw this one for only $4.80 (originally $20).

One of the women working in the store saw me loading my carriage with the Christmas sale items and told me to go check out the makeup. They were turning over their stock and had tons of makeup marked 80% off.
Almay Clear Complexion is my go-to foundation. I actually have it on auto subscription on Amazon for delivery every few months but at about $12-15 each.
I’ve been using this Almay foundation for more than 10 years. It’s the only foundation that reduces the uneven redness in my skin and doesn’t make me break out. In summer I use the Naked color and in the winter I go with the Neutral lighter shade.
Almay Clear Complexion foundation: $1.92 each (originally $11.99)

And the powder to go with it also only $2.40 (originally $15). I grabbed the Light color in the powder.

Lipstick that’s not too glossy and not too matte. That’s this L’oreal lipstick and it was only $0.96 each (originally $5.99)
When choosing lipsticks, since I have a pink undertones in my skin, I always choose from L’oreal’s Berry colors.

I don’t usually use under-eye concealer, but I’ve been wanting to try it to cover the dark circles in the deep corner of my eyes by my nose. With prices this low, now was the perfect time to try it. I purchased the Light color.
Almay Skin Perfecting Concealer: $1.40 (originally $8.79)

The final makeup item is this black/brown eye liner. I don’t use mascara because it makes my eyes look like a raccoon. Instead, I use just a little bit of eye liner on the outer third of my eye and it’s just enough definition.
Almay Eye Liner Pencil Black/Brown: $1.04 (originally $6.49)

I picked up another hair dryer. I’ve been using this Revlon dryer for a few years but the back end got clogged with dust and hairspray and has slowed down. I’m good about cleaning the filters on a regular basis, but it was time to replace it.
Not on clearance, but it rang in at just $13 or $14 at the register (originally $19.99). You can view this same Revlon on Amazon HERE.
But then I also saw THIS pink Revlon hair dryer for even less. I used to have this pink one and loved it. Super light weight and what a great price!

Finally, a very practical item we needed – a dustpan for only $4.00 (originally $5.00). Here’s a similar one on Amazon for only $3.00.

I bought one more thing… a 5-foot pre-lit tree in a basket for only $24.00 (originally $100). I hid this one in my cellar right away.
That’s 45 items!
My may have spent $122, but they are all items I will use AND I wrapped up a few items to give as Christmas gifts for next year.
Oh…. and my receipt says I saved $279!!!
Happy Shopping
