Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner so I’ve been busy refinishing furniture pieces that are fit with both – like this kids’ take and chair set. Whether you’re looking for some extra seating at the Thanksgiving table or to surprise the kiddos on Christmas morning, this set is perfect.
This table was well-loved when I received it. The table was covered in paint and glitter which meant it got plenty of use as a craft table. A quick sanding easily removed the colorful topcoat.
The chairs were a originally a mint green color. While I loved the soft color, I wanted to go with a more neutral color that would fit with any decor. I’ve actually been on the lookout for the perfect khaki color so when I saw this Valspar Signature Satin in the mistint pile at Lowes, I snatched it up.
I’m so happy with this soft khaki color and looking forward to using it on a few other furniture pieces.
The table was painted with a Benjamin Moore enamel in China White. Water-based enamels are incredibly easy with which to paint. They cover well and harden like no other paint I’ve used. It cleans up well too. I accidentally banged into this table with my son’s hockey stick. The black tape on the end of the stick immediately left a mark, but it wiped right off with a wet rag. Bring on those crayons!
This kids’ white table and khaki chair set is for sale in my Shop.
