It’s time to think about how you’ll set your Thanksgiving table and order any items you still need to make your table warm and inviting. And I’m here to help! My favorite table settings are simple and organic, so if you like that style too, you’re in the right spot. I’ve found just about everything you need on Amazon to make your preparations easy and pretty all at the same time. Consider this your shopping list for an organic Thanksgiving table setting.
This natural, organic table design was one I used for the past two years. I’m sort of creature of habit. And when I find something I love, I tend to stick with it.
Cotton canvas tablecloths, pinecones, greenery, and pumpkins. It’s warm, cozy, and inviting. It’s the perfect backdrop so you and your guessed will be focussed on the food and family.
Begin with a cotton canvas drop cloth. Yes, painter’s drop cloths! You can find them at Lowes, Home Depot, or on Amazon. I picked up two 108-inch natural canvas tablecloths. I use canvas drop clothes in all types of home projects – like covering chairs, curtains, and yes, as table cloths. They are the perfect warm, natural color, absorbent in case spills happen, washable, and inexpensive. What more could a girl ask for!
Click any of the images to add them to your Amazon cart. If you order early, it will be one thing off your list and one less thing to think about.
On top of the tablecloth are the plates. I happen to have plenty of gold-trimmed white plates in the house, but these plastic plates on Amazon are a great match and a great substitution if you prefer not to wash dishes. Just remember to recycle them:
Set a folded napkin on top of each salad plate. Last year I ordered two packs of these warm gray cloth napkins on Amazon. If you don’t have a set of cloth napkins, they’re a great investment to have around on holidays. I prefer the natural color of the warm gray, but if you prefer to add a pop of orange color order THESE orange cloth napkins.
Bring more natural elements in by setting a single pine cone on top of each napkin. Choose small pinecones with flat bottoms so they stand up easily, like these on Amazon:
Keeping to the natural theme, I placed these faux white pumpkins down the center of the table.
My Mom always brings me a Fall flower centerpiece for the center of the table which I absolutely love, look forward to, and appreciate (Mom – if you’re reading). But I also add a little extra greenery to the dessert table with a few olive branches.
The olive branch is a symbol of peace, so last year I ordered this pack of 10 branches on Amazon. The stems are short and I substitute the mason jars for some olive green gourd vases I have.
Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday! It’s a casual day of family and food. There’s no stress of gifts or getting dressed up. It’s jeans and sweatshirts in this house. We fry turkeys in the back yard, watch the parade and football, cook and eat. Thanksgiving may possibly be the most perfect day of the year!
