Happy Columbus Day! The Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. We can start wearing comfy sweatshirts, long sleeve t-shirts, jeans, and light weight boots. New England weather is absolutely perfect and I’m inspired to shop for things that make our home comfortable too. Here are a few of my favorite finds on Amazon for October.

.
First up are a set of matte black silverware. These aren’t just perfect for Halloween, they would look great on the table for Thanksgiving and all year long.
Very rarely do I find orange decor that I really like, but these orange pillow covers stopped me in my scroll. They’re a nice bright happy orange and would look great on our white slipcovered sofa.
In keeping with the black and orange theme (which also happens to be our high school colors), this black leather backpack seems like the perfect size to hold the essentials, but isn’t too big that it will collect too much.
Ohhhhhh! Can you say comfy – but still work appropriate. I always have a hard time finding shirts and sweaters with really long sleeves. Oh yes, this apricot tunic sweater is definitely on my Christmas shopping list. One for them, one for me!
The white lacquer table we have in our hallway is one of my favorite finds. I picked it up on sale at Crate & Barrel several years ago and would buy it again and again. Love the high-gloss lacquer finish. Here’s a similar white lacquer console table I found on Amazon.
Black mirrors are super versatile. I have one in our dining room and one in our upstairs hallway. The style can go modern, modern farmhouse, or traditional depending on other finishes in your home. A black mirror is a versatile staple when it comes to home decor.
The curtains in my dining room have a denim background with large medallions very similar to this navy blue valance. I’ve been looking for new ones for my kitchen and am highly considering these.
These copper kitchen gadgets are super pretty, aren’t they? What a great hostess gift for Thanksgiving, shower gift, or secret Santa gift for Christmas.

The cage light hanging over our dining table is the Odie pendant light from Wayfair. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available. They do have the Ellis pendant light which is similar or this cage pendant light on Amazon is a nice economical version.
And let’s finish with ultra comfort. The reviews on this tunic sweatshirt say it’s super soft and it comes in 10 different colors. Sounds perfect for lounging this winter.
Happy Columbus Day!
and Happy Shopping!

I love that black mirror! I am thinking of replacing the mirrors in our master bath and want something more sleek and streamlined like that.
A great choice. A simple black frame is timeless.
