Happy Sunday! I have so many reveals to share with you, but I have to pace myself. At one point I was working on seven different furniture pieces – all at different stages. My goal this weekend was to finish up several of them and get my garage back in some sort of order.
Honestly… I find it really difficult to work in chaos and right now there’s furniture everywhere, cans of paint everywhere, brushes, sandpaper, wood filler everywhere! I need to get organized!
Today’s reveal is a simple sideboard cabinet.
This cabinet was likely used in someone’s laundry room or more likely a laundry room in their garage because it was covered in both dirt and gooey laundry detergent. It made me remember to keep a stash of rubber gloves in my truck! Under that gooey mess though, I could see that the off-white factory finish was still in really good condition.
So I brought it home – soap and all – and hosed it down in my driveway. Looks pretty good doesn’t it?
I thought I may just sell it as is, but decided with a little work, this was was an easy update. While the factory finish was in excellent condition it did have a few scuff marks and scrapes and the door on the left side was missing.
First step was to remove the door on the right to make it symmetrical.
Second step was to paint. General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint was a perfect color match. Two coats of General Finishes clear satin topcoat and this piece was in pristine, like-new condition again.
This Antique White Sideboard is for sale in my Shop.

Thank you & Enjoy!
