I never imagined my garage would fill up so quickly! This week’s finds included a few metal items, some tables & chairs, and a carved wood mirror.
First up is this two-tier, rolling metal cart. I saw through the dirt & grease and imagined it either as bright red portable bar to hold drinks or a hunter green garden cart to hold outdoor plants and garden tools.
I opted to clean it up and bring it back to it’s original glory in chrome
(but I’d be happy to customize the color if a buyer prefers).
How cute is this as a modern bar cart! Use indoors or roll it outside.
The cart may have a few dings on inside,
but the outside it in perfect condition.
As long as the metal is in good shape, it can be brought back to life with some elbow grease and spray paint! So when I found this putty color metal bookcase, I knew I could revive it. It’s shown here after lots of elbow grease & three coats of navy blue spray paint. The result in navy blue makes this sturdy metal bookcase like new.
Next, I found this coffee table. Can’t you just hear the paint calling to it!
I believe all oak should be painted if it wants to fit into this century.
I also picked up this carved wood mirror.
The detailed carving on it is beautiful, but you can barely see it through this dark stain. I plan to brighten it up with a clean, fresh white. When I’m done, you won’t even recognize it.
Finally, I found this table & chair set. I wouldn’t typically pick up this style table and chairs, but I actually came across an inspiration photo earlier this week.
I’m thinking of duplicating this look of a navy bottom and zinc top.
