Happy New Year everyone! This past year has been amazing. So many new doors have opened and I’m seeing that the opportunities are limitless. I’m actually, finally, doing what I love – CREATING! Today and tomorrow I’d like to show you two of my creations that represent how far I’ve come in the past year.
The first is my sidelight window panel design. These are curtain panels made to cover the tall, fixed windows beside an entryway door. Thus, the name Entri Window Panels (aka Entri WP).
I came up with the design a few years ago when I was unable to find a sidelight curtain to fit my style. To be very blunt… I don’t like sheers, I don’t like lace, and I didn’t want to screw a curtain rod into my woodwork. So I created my own design.
The result was a design that used modern fabrics, virtually invisible velcro mounting, and highlights a single, inverted pleat.
Unlike the sidelight curtains of the past that hang from rods and are heavily pleated, Entri Window Panels lay flat against the window frame; yet the width is still adjustable making a panel that fits most standard sidelight windows. The versatile velcro positioning also makes the long 45-inch length perfect for many different length windows.
In 2014, I was able to tailor the design, build up my inventory, and create the packaging – another one of my loves – BRANDING. Creating packaging that fit my own style was a highlight for me. The logo is simple, modern, and subtly shows a sidelight window surrounding the ‘i” in Entri.
I love seeing the total package come together and ready for retail – one of my main goals of 2015!
