So I’m secretly hoping that no one from my home-town reads this post; because I’m going to share with you where to find free and close-to-free furniture to refinish for your own home and I’m revealing some secrets.

Finding Furniture to Refinish
Do you have furniture in your home that needs a refresh? Is your home filled with hand-me-down pieces with a stain color that doesn’t match the rest of your decor? Do you need furniture to fill the empty spaces or make a room function better? Then read on because I’m here for you!
As a furniture refinisher, I do a few things…
- Clients ask me to refinish (with paint, stain, or a combination thereof) older furniture pieces for all of the reasons mentioned above;
- Clients ask me to help them find the perfect furniture piece and then refinish it for them;
- and I find furniture with the intention of refinishing and flipping it for a profit.
Regardless of the end result, it’s always important to keep expenses as low as possible. This means searching for furniture pieces with a starting cost at a fraction of retail prices. To me, a “fraction of the cost” is between $0 and $25.
