I rarely shop. It’s really not something I enjoy. Walking into a store with thousands of items glaring at me is overwhelming for my senses. But every few months I get the urge to wander around TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. Nine times out of ten, I don’t buy anything, but every once in a while, I find something that I scoop up so fast the shoppers beside me get a little wind burn from the breeze! Which is exactly what happened when I discovered this Broyhill clear glass pendant light sitting on the shelf.
I fell in love right away. The shape is somewhere between a modern schoolhouse and a bell light. The contrast between the dark metal and the clear glass fits perfectly in with the Odie Pendant Light I purchased from Wayfair earlier this summer for over our dining table. You can see it in this photo and read more about the Odie light HERE.
Yes, it was love at first sight!
Oh! And it had a sale tag on it labelled $30! Yes 3 – 0! Unbelievable. It’s a great quality fixture so I would have paid more, but very happy I didn’t have to.
Look at the way it reflects on the ceiling at night. With a clear 40-watt globe bulb (similar to THESE), it makes the perfect night light over the sink. Just enough light to walk around the kitchen but not so much that it’s glaring bright.
I wish I could have found the exact pendant light online for you in case you wanted to purchase one. I scoured the internet searching Broyhill clear glass bell pendant lights. HomeGoods is known for one-of-a-kind finds and in this case it may just be that. One of a kind.
During my search, I did find a few other similar pendant lights on Amazon and Wayfair. These are affiliate links, so I will make a small commission if you click through and buy, but you won’t pay any additional and I only supply these types of links to products I love myself.
Aren’t they pretty! Perfect for over a sink, bath, or entryway don’t you think? Now if I could just find a similar light fixture for my bathroom that still has a light bulb hanging from the ceiling.
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate products I love.

Very classy light, love it. Seems to me finding just the right light for a dining area is a difficult job from reading several blogs. I know for me price would be hardest part. Where we live is not an easy place for people living on their SS, is expensive here, (Grand Junction,CO). Lots of people with money here, except for us. We don’t have a Home goods store here or an IKEA. We have a single wide mfg.home so no dining area at all. We do have a T.J.Maxx.
Enjoy your lovely light.

I hear you! That socket over the sink where that pendant light now hangs and the one over our dining table, were both covered with plastic covers for the past 16 years. We don’t need to be rushed into purchases. Crafting a home and finding pieces that fit your style and budget (no matter what that is) takes time, but one day all the stars align and it happens.
